What songs do you remember skating to?





I went skating with my kids recently and didn't know ANY of the songs!

I rollerskated and they kept playing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" over and over and over....

Reply:I just skated mostly outside..I used to do cartwheels and flips in my skates. I even climbed the tree in the front yard with my skates. It's like they were permanently attached.


Once I did a cartwheel between my brother and his friend Frankie..the skates got him right in the eye. My mom assured Frankie's mom that my butt had been rightfully whipped. Ah, the good ol' days where you could actually smack your kid for doing something stupid without Child Protection Services called on you..
Reply:yes I did...mostly disco and early 80's stuff
Reply:I don't remember anything much specific, but mostly 80's techno with a smattering of hair metal.





Ozzy Osbourne's Crazy Train comes to mind.

That was really no fun at all, but it was all we had so we thought it was great

Reply:I didn't indoor skate much %26amp; fortunatly I was born in the era when skate boarding was nailing on skates to a board and into my late teens watch it bloom into a multi million dollar industry.

I remember songs from Tony Hawks 1 like Superman by Goldfinger.

Reply:i did roller skate when i was a teen (many moons ago) but i did it at the best place you could in the street, so there was no music playing. I would've taken my walkman, but with it on my ears i couldn't hear the cars coming behind me.
Reply:Well I remember the skating rink and the keys we used at home on our own (had to put them on our shoes) but I wasn't old enough to even BE out there on the Rink (got hurt) and the music was probably The Beatles last ones?? Thanks for the Memories though!

I really can't remember many of the songs, but our roller rink played horrible/lame music like Britney Spears *shudders*

Reo speed wagon, keep on lovin' you. For some reason I remember that. Probably cause I didn't have a guy to skate with for the couples skate.
