Who on here goes Roller Skating or used to?

Me and my cousins used to either go skating or to the movies every weekend when I was growing up. It killed us that summer when the man who own the skating rink lost it.

Who on here goes Roller Skating or used to?
I did... back in the seventies... wouldn't miss a Friday or Saturday night. We thought it was the cool place to hang out. Doing all those goofy skating games, the limbo, four corners, the backwards race.....lol brings back some good memories.

and from 1995 - 2001 i went to the movies at least once a week with some weeks topping at 5 x. but when the movie rental stores started having movie passes that allowed you to have rental as long as you want i cut back on going to the movies.
Reply:I go roller skating every once in a great while. The last time was for a birthday party, and I was the smart one by bringing my own skates.
Reply:I went skating every Saturday night... My brother was the D.J. It was all fun until Mr. Lund the owner decided to sell the place to these Country bumping idiots... No offense to anyone but who wants to listen to country music while they skate... I don't.... I miss skating...

Reply:i haven't roller skated since i was just a kid! i did break both of my arms skating ( not at the same time.. thank gawd! ) i caught my bell bottoms in the wheels both times! typical 70's kid... bell bottoms and wheels.. wasn't the brightest light bulb in the whole package was i? hope you still enjoy skating!

Reply:That was the thing to do during my teenage years. Too bad we were always getting kicked out.
Reply:That was where a lot of my dates were. I used to love it but now I'm old and even though I'd love to get on some skates, they'd probably kill my ankles.
Reply:I am a child of the 80's, it goes without saying that I've been roller skating and that EVERY friend of mine had at least one birthday party at a roller rink.
Reply:I was a roller skating queen in third grade! I had a bunch of skating costumes (you know, the leotard/dress all in one) and would whirl around the rink doing all sorts of moves to tunes like "The Rainbow Connection" and great '70s disco tunes! I really would love to do it again, but I'd probably fall down now!

Reply:I used to looooove to go rollerskating when I was a kid.LOL. Brings back a lot of memories.......like couples only skating and women only skating,men only skating.Do you remember that? LOL.
