How to roller skate?
DDUE I AM DA BEST AT IT JUST PRACTICE AND HAVE A GO DONT BE SCARED
Reply:First, check with your local skating rink to see if they offer lessons. As a skating coach, the two things I recommend most are: 1) KEEP YOUR HEAD UP - never look at your feet or the ground, and 2) KEEP YOUR KNEES SLIGHTLY BENT - your knees will act as "shock absorbers. The other thing is, if you have to use a wall or something to hold yourself up, ONLY USE ONE ARM. Whatever you do, don't turn your body toward the wall (or railing or whatever).
There are so many tips I could give, but I don't know if you're skating indoors, outside, on inlines or quads. It just all depends.
Practice, practice, practice, and never be afraid to fall. We all do!
Reply:Practice, practice, practice. Only that will help. But if you want to know how to get started, first put on your gear (roller skates, helmet, knee pads, elbo pads, etc.) Then find something that will support you while you stand. Then, just start moving your feet. You might fall a few times, but hey, that's part of the fun! ;-)
Reply:You must practice as much as you can.The more you practice the better your balance becomes. It is all about balance,Your center of gravity.
Reply:I teach roller skating at a local rink !! The main thing to know when you learn to skate is keep your feet in a "V" like a duck and KEEP YOUR KNEES BENT !! then take little steps don't worry about your speed just keep your balance put your hands out in front of you if you need them to help you balance. If you feel like your going to fall dip (bend down and put your arms out) if your going down cross your arms like your giving yourself a hug so when you fall you don't put your arms down so someone rolls over your fingers or you break an arm !! If you fall to get back up roll on to both knees then put one knee up push up on that knee to stand up !! but those are your simple basics !!
