Do you think figure roller skating is cool?

I am a 13-year-old girl and I can figure skate on roller skates. I'm not that good yet, but I can do spins, and am learning jumps. Do you think roller figure skating is cool? I think it's better than ice, because that's so common these days. Should I take lessons this summer to learn how to figure skate better? I have really good, 200 dollar skates and everything. I just want to know your opinion on roller figure skating...

I think its so cool I've watched videos on youtube and love how its really similar to ice skating (I'm an ice figure skater). I'd love to try it but I can't because I live in Canada and the only club is in like Ontario I think. Do you know?


Lessons would be a great a idea because then you can get trained better and even go to competitions! Just make sure you're in a good club.

Reply:I absolutely love rollerskating. I did it for 8 years, and went to competitions and what not. It can be a bit of a pricey sport at times, but it's totally worth it. It is way better than ice, although it is much harder. I think you should take lessons, I used to take lessons 4 or 5 days a week for 2 to 5 hours and at one point I was "Juvenile Champion of Canada". That was when I was a lot younger, but I was so proud. :) I no longer participate in rollerskating, because I had thought I grew out of it, but now I'm wishing I could go back and do it again.
