Cathy P should be ashamed for suggesting that dogs should not be allowed the best possible treatment.





I am not a 'dog lover' particularly but I am fond of animals generally. Humans come first, I feel, but animals should be treated as well as possible if we are to show our human compassion.





So - my neighbour had a terrier with hip dysplasia and the dog's hind legs had to be amputated. Many viewers will have had this experience with their pets. In my neighbour's case the dog was fitted with a harness and two 'kiddie' wheels. He raced around for years and was very happy. He was better at reversing than many drivers!





Another friend had a golden retriever which had to have a front leg amputated. The dog recovered and was well for two years but 'hopping about' on three legs caused strain on its heart and the dog died of heart failure. A artificial leg may have helped.





If you wish to put skates on animal for entertainment go ahead but you may be on thin ice.

Reply:I'd love to be able to roller blade with my dogs like they do in America. I watch Ceasar Millan do it and it looks real fun for both the owner and the dogs.

Reply:No, because it's an excellent way to cripple the dog for life - and cause a major, painful, and very expensive injury.

I'd give a dog a skateboard -lots of people teach their dog to skateboard.





Dogs just don't have the coordination for roller skates.
Reply:No. What gave you the idea? Put them on yourself and let your dog pulll you down the street.
Reply:dogs would just fall and you would have to get a baby pair for how small its feet are you would have to spend $30.00 for it plus a pair for you.there is a chance it would break a leg but you could try it.

Ive seen on a skate borad and skis, Also could harm the animal so lets not try!!!!!!

Reply:if you own a dog take him to the rescue centre because even thinking about the above question brings your responsability of owning a dog into question.
Reply:Y would anyone wish 2 do that? It's not natural %26amp; totally unfair to the animal, it has exactly the same principles as dressing the animal.....they have their own clothing....fur!
